Day 25 of my 100 Day Painting Challenge

I really like the color pink in landscape paintings. I know it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I think it looks unusual as a sky or horizon color and it catches your attention. This was another painting in acrylic on paper which is not my favorite surface because it tends to buckle and wrinkle when wet but I let this one dry and sit under the weight of my iPad and it seemed to iron out ok. We haven’t had much steady sun here in San Miguel because the rainy season has been especially heavy this June which is much needed for the land and plants but taking pictures outside in diffused sunlight does wonders for making paintings look their best.
